SO I AM PERHAPS BEING A BIT SPAMMY THESE PAST FEW WEEKS RELATIVE TO MY USUAL OUTPUT. Hahaha. Lol I have kind of gotten out of the habit of seeing deviantart as my primary outlet for art--now I'll generally post to my LJ and my dreamwidth first and then go '...o yeah, deviantart'. xD

That aside, I've decided I do rather like the current iteration of the submission process--having to go through only one page of hitting buttons and filling in blanks is pretty nice! Although I do wish one were still able to upload previews for JPEGs and PNGs. Or else perhaps we can still, but I haven't figured out how. Eh!

1.~ShimaAndTempis! I've known SaT since... the YW forums? I wanna say YW forums but part of me says maybe it was somewhere else. Huh. Anyway! SaT takes sexy sexy photographs. I think it's one thing to be able to make a composition from scratch out of your head, but another entirely to be able to look at the world through the camera lens and be able to capture something beautiful out of what's already there. SaT is damn good at doing this, if you ask me.

2. ~lady-mo0se! Another YW forum friend. And this time I know I know her from the forums! BiW has a great sense of atmosphere--I don't know if it's the colors or the composition or what, but even when she doesn't put much detail in the backgrounds, you get a really good sense of context for the subject matter. Seems to have a taste for the fantastic, macabre, or horrendously cute; these last, if you ask me, amount to more or less the same thing eventually

3. ~alidaART! Oh, Alida, where do I start? We had fun times on the YW forums (again, lol) trying to GET PEOPLE OTHER THAN US TO DRAW FANART--anyway. I am always slightly jealous of artists who seem to have really really good senses of color theory, and god damn Alida has that up the wazoo. I mean. Look at that. I wish I could do that overlaying-scribbles-of-other-colors thing she does and make it look good like she can. Whenever I try it it tends to wind up looking like a bad tossed salad. She can make it look gorgeous.

Hey! So, I've been really busy for the last week, so if you've said something to me since last weekend and I didn't reply... it's not because I hate you or anything. It's just that I wasn't able to avail myself of the intarnets for a long time D:

Also! Changed my avie, because I felt like the new one was getting old. It still says the same thing, only now it has a dancing vampire bunny on it. For those of you who don't know me IRL and aren't in my APUSH or Calc class, which is pretty much all of you except, like, two people, that thing is pretty much my mascot. I draw it everywhere. All of the standardized test booklets I've used since the end of my sophomore year are covered in variations on it.

No, it doesn't have a name. But I think I might want to name it Puce, just because. Or Orangutang.
